Country Club

Country Club is a premier community in Southwest Florida, known for its pristine surroundings and upscale amenities. Windstar reached out to Beacon Outdoor Lighting early in the renovation process for their Clubhouse, Marina, and driving range, seeking a lighting design that would enhance both safety and aesthetics.

During our initial meetings with Windstar’s managers and design team, it became clear that previous lighting efforts had fallen short in complementing the space. By listening to the community’s concerns and vision, we focused on creating a design that not only improved safety and security but also added depth, drama, and elegance to the outdoor spaces.

To enhance safety and navigation, we installed path lights along the walkways, ensuring well-lit passage throughout the community. Addressing concerns about insufficient lighting on the cart path leading to the docks and golf course, we took a strategic approach—instead of overusing path lights, we utilized wide-angle uplights to illuminate the adjacent Clusia hedges. The glossy, reflective nature of Clusia created a dramatic yet functional effect, providing ample visibility while maintaining a refined aesthetic.

To further enhance high-foot-traffic areas, we incorporated residential-sized bollards, adding both elegance and practical illumination. Originally planned with 200 fixtures, the project quickly expanded to over 500 as board members and golf patrons saw firsthand the transformative impact of the lighting design.
